The purpose of the Open Social Web Society is to foster the development of, advocate for the adoption of, draw attention to, encourage communities around, provide services for, and promote widespread awareness, understanding, and use of open, decentralized, and interoperable social web technologies for the benefit of individuals, communities, and the public good.
